Good thing about the upstairs neighbors moving out: Improves chances of getting a parking space in front of the house. I can actually stay out late and not having park blocks/miles uphill away from my place. Or try to figure out where I parked the next morning after a night of drinking.
Bad thing about the upstairs neighbors moving out: No heat on cold nights. The thermostat is upstairs for the entire house. The upstairs neighbors and I had the same views on what the temperature should be. Now that they are gone, it is COLD in my place. The other two roommate are O.K. with this (they like it colder). I am freezing my butt off when I come home and when I wake up in the morning. I have my blankets, but it takes time to get the bed warm by myself.
